Mission & Vision

Mission

CDES-TU has its mission to advance human knowledge on environment and awareness to protect it through teaching-learning, research and communication. In pursuance of this mission, CDES-TU aims to provide the highest level of teaching-learning and research on environmental issues, foster scientific inquiries and innovation to protect the environment of Nepal and the world, and inform policy debate, disseminate information, and increase awareness of sustainable environment.

Vision

CDES-TU envisions to becoming a Centre of Excellence upholding scientific values and social responsibility, an inspiring place of learning, developing skills, reflective global citizens and leaders, and accessible to everyone.

Objectives

To recognize CDES-TU as the centre of excellence in education and research of environmental science
To consolidate and update existing curriculum, and enhance students’ assessment
To promote faculty members for delivering high performance in teaching and research
To promote extracurricular activities in support of environmental protection and sustainable development
